How to use background music in a vlog

Add volume keyframes around each talking section. In DaVinci Resolve, Alt-click (Option-click on Mac) the volume line on the clip; in Final Cut Pro, Option-click it.
Ease each change over half a second or so, so the music swells and settles instead of jumping.
Cut your B-roll on the beat. Gentle tracks forgive cuts every two or four beats, and slower shots of food, hands or scenery can run for a whole bar.
For a punchier intro, switch to dance and groove, and close with YouTube end cards.
Either file works for a vlog, though the WAV gives you more room if you plan to EQ or boost the track.
