Crowd Walla, Voices and Footsteps

Background walla from cafeterias, coffee shops, restaurants, city streets and construction sites, plus sections for human voices, audience reactions, specialty voices, action sounds and footfall. Use them to fill a location with people you didn't have on set.

Category information

Crowd beds versus close voices

Pick the WAV for footsteps and voices you'll EQ to match your production dialogue. For walla and city beds in a quick edit or a social video, the MP3 holds up fine.

How to use crowd and footstep sounds

Keep walla low enough that no single word stands out; clear background chatter competes with your dialogue.
Run one restaurant or city bed continuously across every angle of the scene, so cuts between shots don't change the room.
Time audience reactions to land just after the payoff, the way a real crowd responds a beat late.
Match footsteps to the surface and footwear on screen; a mismatch registers even when viewers can't say why.
