Cutting a party reel to disco

For comedy, drop the track in hard on a reveal, such as the doors swinging open on the party, rather than fading it up.
Disco phrases usually run in blocks of eight bars. Count along and move to a new guest, location or scene as each block starts.
Run a slow-motion shot over a smoother section of the track, then snap back to normal speed on the next downbeat.
Warm up the grade and add lens flares and bokeh for a dance-floor glow.
For a wedding film or an ad, take the WAV; the MP3 is enough for a quick post.
